Patricia Noel:
For Writers & Readers Alike
Theme: "Warm, Healthy, Productive"
The weather is finally catching up to the season. Wind chill factors are more important than what the thermometer reads. Snow is rearing its white fluffy head and sticking to everything; a little or a lot depending on where you are located.
With that unpleasant thought, warm up with a good book or by a cozy fire. Keep yourself healthy with plenty of fruit, veggies, and hot chocolate. Don't forget the excercise that doctors always say you need--count the snow-shoveling as double. Stay productive whether it is: 1. fixing or decorating around the house 2. making plenty of food (treats) and freezing them for when you are snowed-in this winter 3. WRITE the next great novel, short story, or poem. This activity covers all bases: feeds your soul, exercises your mind, and produces expressions from your heart that you can share with others.
Time will fly at warp speed and you will land in SPRING.
***Speaking of writing and being productive, I would like to congratulate a multi-published author friend of mine, Beverly Long, for the sale of her romantic suspense to Harlequin Intrigue. Great Job! Check out her website:
You may have more time to write during this time of year, if so give it your all. Or possibly you are among the many people having to work two or more jobs to make ends get close to one another. Still others continue to seek an income of any kind. Things will get better, just like the song says, "The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades," by Status Quo. I will not expound my beliefs to you, but a brighter future is ahead.
So, stay warm, keep healthy, and be productive. While you are at it, write everything down; your experiences might make a difference to someone else, perhaps make them laugh, or help them endure whatever trials they are facing.
Take care,
Patricia Noel
